I am hoping to find some Mesquite trees to forage from this year as well as Honey Locust and any fruit or nut trees that people are not eating.

Same with us...anything that can grow UP...we do.  We have giant teepee style trellis for the big vines, and pantyhose to secure the fruit as they are forming.  It really is just a matter of creativity and thinking outside of the box.  

I am trying the Wonderberry Strawberries from Baker Creek...from seed. This will be an interesting first experience. :)

Last year...we lost everything. We moved from the land of 10,000 Lakes to this extreme drought in Texas and let me tell you...I have had to relearn everything I know about gardening. So...I have a variety of drought tolerant veggies, squash, and green this year and we are going to eat them whether we like it or not. The grocery store is just too expensive!
