  I have mesquite trees and they grow wild here, this year I am going to harvest the pods and try to grind them into flour. Anyone ever done this?

  The pods grind up very easily. A bit labor intensive getting the seeds out. You probably know this fact but the flour in the recipe can only be a quarter mesquite flour. Very nutritious. My dogs like them as they are very sweet.

  I am hoping to find some Mesquite trees to forage from this year as well as Honey Locust and any fruit or nut trees that people are not eating.
